Hi everybody Dr. Julie McLaughlin here for your functional medicine, Friday and happy earth day. So today is earth day, which is really awesome because people all over the world do things that take care of the planet that we live on. Now, let's think about this. Our planet also contributes to our health and wellbeing.
Or sometimes it can detract from it depending on the environmental toxins that we're exposed to. So today on earth day, what I would like you to think about is how the environment impacts on your body. And the toxins that you may come in contact with now, it's springtime, maybe you're getting your lawns fertilized, and you're getting in contact with fertilizers.
Maybe you're in contact with plastic on, on your cups, in your Tupperware that you're using. Maybe it's cleaning supplies. Maybe it's some things in your cosmetics. Maybe it's the cleaning supplies that somebody else used on the table that you're working at. So we all come in. Contact with environmental toxins.
And we all know there are environmental toxins as well on our fruits and vegetables and on the food processed food that we eat. So in light of earth day, and we can all use a little spring cleaning always at this time a year, we want to talk about detoxification. So this is a great time of year to do a detox.

You can take a look at it, but when you're doing the detox, you definitely want to take your nutrients. So it's going to help detoxify the liver, your small intestine, your large intestine, and it's going to help repopulate the good bacteria in your.
The things that you want to do yourself to avoid, some of those environmental triggers are going to avoid five things. And those five things are going to be sugar, flour, dairy, alcohol and caffeine. And if you can do this while you're doing the supplements with the detoxification, you're going to get the best advantage and the most detoxification.
So detoxification is going to be something that's not only going to help reduce. Overload from the environment can help reduce the chances of cancer. It can improve your long-term health, but also is going to make you feel really good. You're going to have lots of energy and you're going to really feel great about this detoxification.
